I'm of the opinion that cities with warmer climate should be excluded to host the game, but not participation. ie. Los Angeles playing in Montreal or Dallas playing in Vancouver.

In late June, we're going to be going on vacation. We're trying to choose either on Lake Tahoe in California or The Olympic Mountain Range in Washington. Which one would be better to go to and why?

School starts in Caracas tomorrow, so do many universities and a lot of people are going to start to work tomorrow as well after summer vacations. That means that Caraqueños are going to be stuck in traffic, desperate, wishing they were someone else or somewhere else.
Tomorrow in traffic i’ll be wishing to be in a Pirate ship in the caribbean or Winning an underwater rugby olympic medal.

Well, Millenium, Venezuela is about the same, only with a way more annoying president and yes, no cataclism has swallowed the city of Maracaibo yet so it is still there

Personally, I love it! The Inukshuk represents safe journeys, friendship and always finding your way home. I can think of no better representation of the Olympic Games. To read more about the Inukshuk history go here:

Bob, Yes, the logo represents many landmarks. If you click on the links I provided, you will see and get the history behind the "Inukshuk". For the Olympics, the emblem was colorized. On the top of Whistler Mountain where events are to be held, is an enormous one.
Sufwax, I did like the medals awarded in Beijing. The idea of adding Jade to them was pretty cool. But, I happen to love the color green.
