Vancouver Olympics: why does the oficial ranking rank us 1st and the french ranking rank them 3rd?
I am american but I study for 5months abroad in PARIS
I watch the olympics on channel 2 and 3, you can’t imagine how french are dumb, stupid and unprofessional on tv
and they rank canada, germany, us
on the vancouver site, it’ us, germany, canada
why do french country’s ranking is not following the official ranking
who’s wrong?

There really isn’t any "official" way to rank, as far as I know, since no country is declared as a winner. Most countries like to rank via. Gold Medal Count while the US rank by Total Medal Count.

Anyway, that is why France shows the US in 3rd. Canada has the most medals <with 13>, then Germany <with 10>, and then the US <with9>.
